WordPress web design for Cape Town and South Africa

We are a Cape Town web studio that builds custom WordPress sites for South African businesses, and for international clients who want the same performance-first approach. WordPress runs a large share of the web, but most WordPress sites are slow, bloated, and a pain to maintain. Ours are not.

The difference is in how the site is built. Instead of buying a theme and stacking plugins on top, we build a custom block theme around your content, then keep the moving parts to a minimum. The result loads fast, ranks better, and is genuinely yours.

Already have a site that has outgrown Wix, Squarespace, or an ageing WordPress build? That is exactly the work we do most. See what a build costs or browse our broader platforms and development work.

WordPress web design questions, answered

What makes your WordPress web design different?
We build custom block themes rather than buying an off-the-shelf theme and bolting plugins onto it. That means a site shaped around your business, far less code shipped to visitors, and pages that load fast and stay maintainable for years.
How many plugins will my website need?
As few as possible. A typical lead-generation site we build runs with close to zero active plugins, and an online store usually stays under five. Every plugin is code someone else maintains and a potential security and performance cost, so we only add one when it genuinely earns its place.
Do you only work with Cape Town businesses?
No. We are based in Cape Town and know the local market well, but we build for businesses across South Africa and internationally. The work is remote-first and async-friendly, and international clients can be billed in US dollars.
What is a block theme, and why does it matter?
A block theme is the modern WordPress approach, built on the Gutenberg site editor using templates, template parts, patterns, and a single theme.json for design tokens. It keeps the site light and consistent, and it avoids the heavy markup that page builders like Elementor or Divi add to every page.
What does a WordPress website cost in South Africa?
Most professional small-business sites land between roughly R23,800 and R45,000, driven by how many pages you need and how complex they are. Our pricing page breaks the figures down per page, and the calculator gives an instant tailored estimate.
Do you provide design assets I can use elsewhere?
Yes. The same design work that produces your site can produce reusable assets for social ads, PPC, print, and promotional branding, so your brand stays consistent across every channel rather than being rebuilt from scratch each time.

Ready to build a site that converts?

A short call is enough to map your goals, your content, and the one clear next step each page should drive, before any code is written.
